After some dreaming, planning and designing, the Pauline Morgan tag began dangling from necklaces and bracelets in the summer of 2001.

INFLUENCE

An avid designer in all aspects of life, Pauline acquired an early interest in jewelry. She has collected everything from punk to vintage to minimalist pieces. Currently her work is influenced by 20th century art movements such as cubism, pop art, and mid-century modernism. Her most recent project (besides this website) was the remodeling of her Chicago loft.

“Interior designer Tricia Guild has had a strong influence on me. Her wonderful mix of minimalism with vintage details is refreshing. She proves modernism can be striking, yet welcoming. I hope my jewelry collection conveys the same feeling.”

EDUCATION

Pauline has a Masters degree in Computer Science. Early in her career Pauline combined her love of tech with her love of art and became an interface designer working daily with color and proportion to create the look-and-feel of software.

“My background has encouraged me to think about the science of design. As a result I strive to make jewelry that not only looks good, but functions well. I am also intrigued by the rules of design. By changing just one component of a jewelry piece, how does that affect the entire composition? The experimentation behind design excites me.”

The Pauline Morgan collection is about having fun, creating drama and feeling good. Pauline’s love of patterns and her excellent eye for color help her produce desirable jewelry.
